Gather
the Facts:
- Immediately
obtain as much information as possible about
how the accident occurred.
- If
the accident is your driver's fault, they should
never admit responsibility at the scene. Your
driver will be asked for his version of what
happened in the accident. If there is a difference
of opinion with the other party, the claims
adjuster will determine liability.
- If
there are any witnesses, always ask for their
names and phone numbers. Their statements could
be a deciding factor in a questionable accident.
-
Always report the accident to the police!
- Always
obtain a copy of the police report for insurance
purposes. Your claim will not be adjusted without
it.
Once
you've gathered the details of the accident, including
any injuries, call our office to report the loss.
Our Claims Manager will take your information

forward this information to the insurance company
which handles your automobile coverage. Depending
on the circumstances, we may assign an appraiser
in your area to assess the damage to your vehicle,
and/or the other party's vehicle. We will communicate
with you to explain what to expect, and let you
know when the insurance claims adjuster will contact
you.
Once
your claim has been reported to the insurance
claims adjuster, be sure to call our office if
you experience any problems, or if you have a
question and the insurance claims adjuster is
not available.
If
your driver is involved in an accident which is
not his fault, it is important to have him contact
the police, obtain a copy of the police report
and contact the insurer for the at fault party.
Please contact us if you have difficulty in locating
the insurance company, and we will assist you
in locating a phone number for their claims department.
